Ammit represents destruction, death, dishonesty and fear. Ammit was not worshiped in Egypt but was feared and often was the inspiration for people to live honest and true lives. This means that she can be worked with in the sense of worshipping her traits or working with her against these traits. Ammit, although feared and incredibly terrifying, was not a demoness or goddess who enjoyed the process of lies and dishonesty, instead it is highly believed she despised these actions and is why she punished those who chose to live their lives so.

Ammit and Anpu are often depicted together as both rulers of the underworld, so both can be worshiped together or separately. The underworld is often depicted as a place of darkness and fear but yet it leads to immortality and peace if you chose to live a life of peace and truth.
